Affiliate Marketing, Where Do I Start?

The easiest thing about affilaite marketing is to decide to just do it. You have to start somewhere, the internet is a big, big place. The time for just throwing something up on the web and the people will come and flood your Pay Pal account with cold hard cash is long gone. But really if you do it (affiliate marketing) right it has actually become easier than it was before because there are some out standing tools out there.
On most sites, here is what you are going to see and read:
- You need your own website (from free with hosting to $1,000’s)
- You have to have a good host with all the tools (from $5.00 a month to $25 a month)
- Then you need to build your list, so you need an auto-responder ($20 a month)
- Now you have to build your website (most good hosting services have a website builder and you have to build it yourself, a huge learning curve, but hey it’s free. (Or you can hire someone to build it for you, this could run from a few hundred $$$ for a simple site, to $1,000’s if you a big marketing site set up to take money.
- And now supposedly, after spending all this money, you got everything you need accept traffic.
- What do you need for traffic, good, solid, original content, where do you get that? Well, hopefully you know your niche well enough to just start writing, editing, organizing it, and slapping up on that shiney new website.
- But before you can write the first word you need to do a thorough keyword search, well you can go to WordTracker (around $400 a year) and find keywords that people are actually looking for and how many are looking for those keywords. Then you write your content around and including those keywords.
- Now what’s happening? Nothing! Because once you have people finding you, you have to have something to sell them. I hope you click on every single thing you can click on on this site! In the long run it is going to save you a ton hard earned money. And not only that but for less than a dollar a day, you can not only be bringing in some money but lots of it. You won’t have to go through tons of expensive programs and hours upon hours of time working and trying to figure it all out only to find out 99.9% of the crap sold online simply don’t work.
Well, if you believe all the hype out there, try ‘em out, I have. And I can almost guarantee you 4 out of 5 programs out there won’t bring in a single dime for you. Go ahead there are tons of these guru’s (so called) and don’t kid yourself, some are very successful. Not at helping you make money online, but are very successful at separating you from your hard earned cash and they aren’t about ready to share that information with you or I.

Your already out a couple of hundred dollars and you don’t have anything to sell yet.
